Barry Zito's Millions

If you think Barry Zito's $126 million deal was a big deal (well, I guess maybe it was), wait till Johan Santana becomes a free agent after 2008. We're talking about major big bucks for the best lefty in baseball. Santana is heads and shoulders better than Zito without resorting to a big, loopy curveball.

I would agree, but it would not surprise me to see the Twins try and strike a deal with Santana before he hits the market. It would still be an outrageous deal, but might save them a little money.
