Can Pavano stand up to opening day pressure?

The way it's turned out, Carl Pavano will take the mound for the Yankees on opening day in Yankee Stadium. This is a fairly large surprise for New York fans, as Pavano didn't pitch at all last year. The question is, does this development indicate the Yankees' rotation is weaker than Boston and/or Toronto? And here's another question, how badly do the Yanks now need Roger Clemens?

No. He will eventually be replaced by a pitcher who can. His first name is Roger, and he will wear pinstripes again.
